Organic
Our land is certified organic, but we haven’t certified our operation. We DO use all organic practices. If our customers demand it we will certify our operation, but right now we are just focused on growing good food organically.
Native Landscape
We are surrounded by prairie. This has helped support and wildlife, as well as boost populations of beneficial insects, including pollinators. We house our friends bees on our farm which help with pollinating.
Controlling Pests
We try our best with pest control. We use companion plantings mostly and haven’t had a need to use organic pesticides. We do use electric fencing to keep the critters like deer out of our crops.
Weeds
We use mulch, tractor cultivation, hand weeding, and cover crops to prevent weeds.
